Rules:
Swimming follows the rules of the IISA – International Ice Swimming Association.
At the race venue, all competing swimmers must undergo a basic medical examination before swimming. The swimmer must disclose to the doctor all relevant medical histories, allergies, chronic diseases, currently used medications and also show proof of a medical assessment for winter-ice swimming not older than 6 months.
All swimmers participate in the race at their own risk.
A swimmer may wear: one standard approved swimsuit, one pair of approved type of glasses and only one standard silicone or latex cap. Lubrication is allowed for friction purposes only. Ear plugs and nose clips are allowed.
The competition will take place on 500 and 1000 meter courses, freestyle swimming. There will be a maximum of 8-12 swimmers in a heat. Swimmers will use safety floats.
There will be non-competitive free swimming on the 100m and 250m courses as well.
Age Limit: For the 1000 meters, the IISA prescribes a minimum age of 18 on the day of the swim. For the 500 meters, the IISA prescribes a minimum age of 16 on the day of the swim.
For swimmers under the age of 18, the approval of a parent – legal representative is required.

Payment of the entry fee in cash on the day at the venue.
Entry fees are as following:
Application for the 1000 meters competition = 25 EUR (620 CZK).
Application for the 500 meter competition = 20 EUR (500 CZK).
Application for a 250 meter course = 15 EUR (370 CZK).
Application for the 100 meter course = 10 EUR (250 CZK).
Time program:
09:00 – 10:00 presence of swimmers.
09:30 – 11:00 a.m. basic medical examination of swimmers.
10:00 – 11:30 description of swimmers
11:30 start at the Elbe river, discussion and explanation of the tracks
11:45 a.m. swimming on non-competitive courses of 100 and 250 m
then competitions in heats and announcement of results
